Marfa Lights; installation, slide projection and video, 1999
Marfa Lights; la serre:
consisting of two compartemental furniture modules:
One is a module for twelve objects and a slide projection. I documented the interior of a log-cabin next to the Lightning Fields of Walter de Maria, during my residency at the Donald Judd Estate in Marfa, Texas.
The objects are made from polished medium density fiberboard (MDF), some are partially placed within the space on the floor, others remain in the drawers of the module.
The second module includes a couch, in which a monitor was installed to show ‚Fujijama' and ‚Desert', both of which are works by the American artist Nan Hoover
