The Green Memorial; 1m2 earth 2004
As a contribution to an exhibition and art garden project in Düsseldorf, this one square meter of earth from the new, and much discussed Vinex site in Ijburg (Amsterdam) was transplanted to Düsseldorf. Subsequently one square meter of earth from the garden in Düsseldorf was preserved, and eventually there will be a chance that this will receive a new home in Amsterdam, if the garden project has to make way for the plans of property developers.
